Cetyl Alcohol

Cetyl Alcohol is a versatile ingredient that serves as an all-purpose thickening agent in the cosmetic industry. Its stable consistency and moisturizing properties make it a widely used ingredient for creating lotions, creams, and other skincare products. Composed of 95% fatty acids derived from vegetable oils, this white, odourless flake is an excellent emollient, viscosity stabilizer, and foam enhancer. For best results, use between 0.5 - 6% in the oil phase, and melt at 54ºC / 129ºF.
